The museum is a beautiful and new complex of buildings and features 4 exhibition halls with an entertainment area, shopping complex, and parking lots. It houses more than 1791 artifacts including artifacts from Wadi Al-Hammamat, Mons Porphyrites, or the Roman city in Gouna, Mons Claudianus, the Roman city in Safaga, Wadi Gasus, and South of Sinai. These breathtaking artifacts are thoughtfully distributed among halls belonging to various eras. Some of the most incredible ones include gold jewelry and medals, mummies dating back thousands of years, pottery, fishing equipment, furniture, musical instruments, and items of everyday use from times of pharaohs. All these items take you on a journey across the rich history of ancient Egypt up until more recent times.
In the end, you will have some free time in the museum on your own to do some shopping if you wish.
We will then continue to the second part of our trip where we will visit a local marketplace (souk). Locals come here in the evening to do their everyday shopping for groceries and you will have a unique chance to do one of a kind shopping here. Your friendly and helpful guide will give you great hints on fruits and vegetables that you should not miss out! Depending on your taste, you will find many truly exotic tastes of Egypt here.
After the shopping, we will drive you back to your hotel in Hurghada, Makadi, Soma Bay, Safaga, and Sahl Hasheesh.
